what is "hydrolocked ?" never heard of that before.

its been sitting for 2 or 3 years when I bought it. just trying to get it running for my erand truck.

Hydrolocked means there is some type of liquid (most of the time water) in the engine that the engine tried to compress, which it couldn't so it is stuck on the compression stroke.

Sounds like your truck is toast.

If that was the case couldnt you just pop the plugs out disconnect the valves and turn the engine over to release the pressure

starter has been rebuilt and checked 2 times at autozone. i pulled hot cable from battery all the to starter looking for bad spots....none. grounds good. when i first brought it home it would turn over so i took off the gas tank to clean it and ever since then it won't turn over. i am running out of options.

Well if it worked then didn't. It's the starter. things go bad like that all the time

go bad when not even used one time to start it..... it hasn't turned over since i took off the gas tank to clean it out....

problem solved.....battery cable was corroded inside of battery clamp and fuel pump in tank was not working....now to the drive-train forum with another problem. thanks for all the help and replies.
