i have and 2002 edge and was wondering why my windows will roll up and down sometimes and other times they dont roll up. also when i have my door open is doesnt say door ajar or when ebrake is on it doesnt show? and is it common for the edge to only rev to 3000rpms and no more? ford ranger edge v6 4.0L???? help?

Automatics supposedly have a rev limiter that won't let you rev past a certain RPM while in park (or neutral, or something like that). I drive a standard-shift, so I don't know for sure. That's just what I've read.

I don't know what year it started but yes it is normal. 3k in park and neutral.

yes, auto's in 2001+ have a rev limiter(around 3000 rpm) and also a speed governor. (usually around 95mph)
