Question Instrument panel bulb replacement

Hello All,
I noticed when I turn my key on to check my instrument panel guages on my 87 Ranger, the only light that comes on is the check oil light.

I think there should probably be more, how do you replace these? I think maybe the dash has to come off, is that correct? If so, how do you do this

Thanks in advance for any help

Rick

just the dash trim piece has to come off (the woodgrain or whatever you have)... then theres some screws holding the instument panel in.
i forgot, its been a long time since i had that thing off... while youre at it, you should buff up the gauges with a rag and some compound and make them clear if theyre foggy
im not sure if its some wires, or bulbs, or something else thats wrong...

hope this helps
