I bought my 98 ranger from a little old couple. when i got it, it had a cap on it so they somehow disconnected the 3rd brake light. whats the best way to get it working again? i went back to ask the old man what he did and he had passed away so no answer there. i have the haynes manual but im not real good with wiring. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

Did u take it out to see if they unplugged it?

Also check to see if they just removed the fuse.
