Why are my blinkers blinking twice as fast as they should?
When my headlights are off my blinkers blink at normal speed. When my headlights are on they blink twice as fast as they should. I checked the fuses and nothing is blown. I recently did an 06 up front end swap and now my blinkers blink twice as fast when the headlights are on and off. Any ideas?
Thanks.

That's what I thought at first but then I started thinking if the bulb was burned out how would the blinker even blink at all?

I had disconnected my brake light harness to take the bed off and forgot to connect it once. The front blinkers worked but hyper flashed. Only reason I mentioned it. Have you turned the blinkers on and made sure the bulbs actually light up?

Re: Why are my blinkers blinking twice as fast as they should?
Usually this condition occurs when there is a poor ground connection to one of the bulbs.

Yes all four bulbs (front and rear) light up and blink faster then they should.

one of the front bulbs went out on me and the symptoms were identical to yours. weird.
edit: i have 4 blinker bulbs up front on mine, so it tricked me initially.

Unfortunately my blinker fluid reservoir is filled to the brim, so that is not the problem but thanks for the suggestion.
