No power to Fuel Pumps
Hello, I've recently run into a little problem with my ranger. While trying to diagnose an unrelated problem, I think I messed something up. I think what caused the problem is when I was using my digital multimeter, I didn't realize it was connected to the DC10A, and connected it to the connectors on the MAP sensor. I heard what sounded to be a running fluid, but I'm not sure. Anyways, Now I have no power to the fuel pumps.
I checked all the fuses, and the EEC and Fuel Pump Relays, and everything checks out. I bypassed everything to give direct power to fuel pump, and confirmed that they work. I'm getting spark to the engine, just no fuel. It seems like all other electronics work(all lights, Heater fan, horn, and anything else I tried checking). I unplugged and replugged a lot of electrical connections that I thought could potentially be the problem, I even crawled under the truck and did the same to any electrical connection i could see, including fuel pump wires. I also tried resetting the Intertia Switch inside the cab, as well as bypassing it to no avail.
Whenever I turn the key to the on position, everything goes as normal, except I don't hear the fuel pump prime itself. The starter works, and turns the motor, just no fuel.
I'm Stumped....any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks!
