Got my new bumper on and now the license plate lights wont work. Its not from putting a new bumper on obviously since all you do is twist the lights and pull. But I checked all the fuses, and put new bulbs in and it wont work. It was working yesterday, so now Im confused. Should I run through all the wiring andsee where a short is, or is there an easier way? I was told not to worry about it, and I wouldnt but I hate knowing the fact that there not working and that would be a dumb thing to get a ticket for.

Well it isn't a short, otherwise the fuse would be popped. So look for something disconnected or broken.

But they for sure worked before you installed the bumper? I just recently had an issue with my park lights not working in the rear and found that one of the pins for the park light wire in side the connector (located just above the rear bumper)that had corroded away to nothing. The rest of the pins looked perfectly fine. Something to check anyways.

what is the new bumper made of/covered with?......I think the fixtures are grounded to the bumper......any chance the ground on the fixture is not making a connection?
