Default Parking Brake/ Anti Lock light.

On my 92' 3.0 ranger when i release the e-brake and start to go the parking brake light and the Antilock Brake light goes on. Any ideas what is going on and if i should worry about it?

On my 89 my abs light is on but its my abs module behind the dash but i dont think its your problem. I'd maybe start by checking the brake fluid and check for no leaks first. Other than that I'm not sure. That truck only has rear antilock on it. so theres only one speed sensor and its on the rear diff housing.

Sometimes they (briliant engeneers) decide that say in this case if the brake fluid is low, the brake light comes on to tell you the brake fluids low and because its low lets diable the abs so no to get air in the abs module and burns it up. However i dont think they were this smart to figure this out. I work as a technician so I'll look to see if theres a diag flow chart for your truck and this problem.

that has happend to me in a few cars on thoses cars when both those lights came on it ment problem with the battery or charging system, strange cause i would have thought the battery light would of come on.
on rangers low brake fluid causes just the e-brake light to come on (for mine anyways)
