Default Dome lights

I have a 1999 Ranger. And just starting today, whenever I open the door and shut it the dome lights will not go out. I checked the paddle that it uses to sense if the door is closed all the way, but I can't tell if its the problem. A fuse maybe?
I removed the bulbs as to not kill the battery hopefully.

Is the door ajar light on as well??

Spray the door latches down real good with wd-40 and open and close the door a few times... should correct the problem

I had the same problem. I left the bulbs out, got busy with other stuff. Came back to it today, I believe it is the switch in the dome light assembly. I took the assembly off. I will try to load a picture, but the switch appears to be the problem. Anyone else have this problem and solve it?

The WD-40 to the paddle that tells the truck the door is closed seemed to help. However, it will need to get done again once the WD-40 wears off.

I haven't noticed or even though about the dome switch malfunctioning. I don't think its related.
