Default Climate control lights not working

This subject was commented on last year, but the solution did not work in my case.

All lights work except the climate controls. I've checked all the fuses, no go. I've checked the bulbs, no go. I've checked all the grounds I can find even those near the battery, no go.

I installed a new stereo, but I don't know if the climate control lights worked before that as I had just gotten the truck.

I can't see that any plugs are disconnected or any frayed wires.

I'm thinking of just tapping the climate control panel into the positive wire on the stereo, or just giving up.

I'm really trying to like this vehicle, but I've never had an an electrical problem in any vehicle an din this one I've had several. Very frustrating...

Help!

ok look for a small plug going to the AC panel should have LB/RD pin #1 power with the headlights on and a black pin #2 which is ground see if you have power and ground there. Pin #1is fed from pin #9 on the headlight switch.
