Default Key in ignition chime
Is there a way to disable the chime when you have the door open with key in ignition?

yup! in behind the radio is a black box on the left side. Unplug it, remove it. Take the cover off. Look around for what looks like a stack of 3 black quarters, dismantle it. No more ding

i found the speaker and then pull it's guts out.... but that may not be the solution for everyone.....

Ok will try that then. Nothing else stops working right? Just the door chime? I had the radio out once already stickin the aftermarket one in, didnt notice the black box but I didnt look for it either.

it takes out all chimes except for airbag. So key left in ignition, headlights on, etc

Taking that black box apart like that, can I put it back together so it works again incase I want it working again or its basicly once apart, its disabled and thats it?

its kinda strange, its not like a speaker, its just some flat washer type things with a few electronic components.

You may be able to unsolder it from the board

You have to put the black box back in or you can keep it out? I mean seems like if you are gutting it, why plug it back in?
