Head lithe went out!!
I'm driving over to my girlfriends lastnight, I go from 1st gear to reverse and as soon as I do my head lights go out. Neuter high or low beam work on the, I'll call it the blinker arm but if you hold it back as if your going to flash someone as if a cop is around, they work then. I am thinking that switch for the arm is going bad? Am I right or does anyone else have any ideas?

Ben Richardson here, I own a 1993 Ford Ranger XLT Four Wheel Drive, 4.0 engine, 5 speed trany, 3.27 gears. Mods are a lift kit that im not sure much how or if it is just a leveling kit I'm not sure how to tell the difference. But it has 31x10.50 Mastercraft Courser MT's but the truck can fit 33x12.50 which will be on it after these wear out. Also now has clear headlights and corner lights with 8000k HID kit.

yes, your multifunction switch (arm) is bad. needs replacing.

Check the fuses first. The flash-to-pass function gets power from a different source.
