can i reset airbag light somehow? it came on after i replaced turn signal/multiswitch on 01 ranger. no airbag deployment

I don't know if you can reset the airbag light. Take it too autozone and see if they can pull the code for you. That way you can look up the code and see what the problem is. I know mine came on after I vacuumed under the seats one time. I knocked a connection loose.

The airbag light will go out after the fault is corrected. Usually, AutoZone only does OBDII codes.

2006 and earlier Rangers use a Light Fault Code for the Restraints System - no code reader required. Just turn on the ignition and immediately count the 2-digit code pattern flashed out by the airbag light. Post it here and we will interpret.
