Question headlights

2002 Ranger Headlights are lo when they should be bright or flash to pass and hi when they should be lo. Exactly backwards. Just purchased. Are there supposed to be splices in wiring just after wires come out of sockets?

No there shouldn't. Someone clearly hooked it up backwards for some reason. Switch it back and you'll be fine.

I bet the guy who owned the truck before him did the same thing and swapped the wires to make them work right.

Should be 2 screws that hold the turn signal part on pull that off then you can remove the the headlight

Aren't there just two tabs that pull up and release the entire light housing? Or is that only 2001+?
