I have 1995 ranger, I recently went to change the ignition key cylinder. When I popped the old one out the alarm started to go off, I tried locking and unlocking the doors to get it to turn off but it didn't work. I have since tried almost everything to try to get it to turn off but nothing works. Along with the alarm going off the car won't start. Anyone know how I can fix this problem.

if you disconnect your battery for 10 mins. it resets the truck

I tried what you said, but it isn't work I unplugged the battery waited ten minutes, plugged it back in and it still went off

Did you COMPLETE the installation of the ignition cylinder key?
-Disconnect the battery
-After you complete the replacement installation
Reconnect battery (10 minutes+)

The computer in the truck should have re set itself ,as mentioned above.
