turn signal help
on my "new to me" 02 xlt supercab
when i tilt my wheel the turn signals don't work, anything positive to look for ????

look for cut/chafed wires in the steering column?

yeah, thats what i thought, and maybe just pulling a connector apart when tilted, just wanted to see if this was a common problem, and if there was a definate fix ??????????

be glad you have a tilt colum lol but yes checked for crushed wires around the tilting place see if something is screwed up

i know there was a recall for something in the steering column. some wire was routed wrong and was chafed/cut, but im not sure what it was to? i know its been addressed on here before, try searching for it.

I would take the shrould off your column and look at the weird shaped connector on the top of your turn signal switch. There are plastic tangs/clips (whatever you want to call it) that hold the pins into the connector. They are really thin and can break pretty easily. I would make sure that all the pins are pushed in really good.
I would do this with the tilt down since that is when the wires are stretched the most. Try turning a signal and if it doesn't come on try pushing those wires into the connector.

thats what i wanted to hear, sumthin definate to look for, gettin tired of flippin my wheel up when turn signals are absolutly needed
will do this tomorrow
