Default its finally installed!!!!!

i finally got my viper 5901 installed in my truck. it took 7 1/2 hours. ran into a road block at the end of the install. the virtual tachometer didnt have enough RPM to keep the truck running for 1 minute, but they tapped into the fuel injection line sensor and it will now stay running for 24 minutes . uploading vid right now. will take more vid tomorrow

turns out the problem was that the installer forgot to install 5 other diodes that were suppose to be installed.2 for each door and 1 for the trunk which is wierd. the reason why it would go off and tell me that the door was open when it wasnt was because the computer in the truck would turn off to save power and that was what would set it off. happy that its fixed

Oh okay, local audio shop. I got mine done at one of mine as well for like 180 I think? It's been awhile. But I heard if we ever want to upgrade, all we need to do is take the brain out and put in the new one and also install the new valet module. So yeah, upgrading in the near future

That's good in a way I guess... The alarm itself is around 600 dollars I believe if you buy it through the Viper website. And local audio shops doesn't charge you an arm and a leg like other installers would do so in a way it was a good deal!

But 225 for the install?! That's, to me, a bit steep. I can get a brand new Viper alarm for around that price

My local shop does it for 199 and that inclueds the alarm. I wouldnt pay over that for an alarm. My dad is a privite investigator and he said rangers are so low on the break in/steal list its not really worth it

Well, my Ranger is in car shows and I have so much valuable stuff in it and I know for a fact insurance won't cover it so alarm is the best thing I can put on my truck.
