Default Help with speaker wiring

My 1997 ranger didn't come with a stereo or speakers. There was wiring for the stereo in the car so thats easy, but I don't see anything for speakers. My question is how hard is it going to be to wire in speakers. I know absolutely nothing about this, is it possible without having to rip my car apart? I opened the rear left speaker compartment and saw no wiring so I'm thinking maybe I should give up unless its not that hard.

Are you referring to the wiring behind the radio in the dash or the wires going to the doors?

Also Ext Cab or Reg Cab...

Its a regular cab. Referring to where the speakers would go (doors and behind seats). I don't see any wiring already there.

Remove your radio. Connect new speaker wire to the current wires. Then run the left side down under the dash and along the door trim to the back and repeat for the other side.

I don't understand. This model did not come with a radio and has no speakers. My question is, before I buy speakers, is it going to be hard to do? I don't see any extra wiring to feed to the doors, etc. Where the speakers go is empty, no wiring or anything.

It will only be hard if you make it hard.

Buy a radio buy some speakers and some speaker wire.

You are gonna have to run speaker wire from where the radio goes to the doors and to the back where speakers go.

Ok so do I run the wire behind the dash or in front where my feet go? and what do I connect the wire to besides the speaker. Goes to the speaker and what other end? To the head unit wires that say left front, right rear, etc?

Run it behind the dash and do what you can do to hide the wires behind trim and carpet.

Connect the wires to the speakers and the wires off the radio harness that say what speaker they go to.

Use a flat blade screw driver and toward the round part of the window crank there is a cover takes some effort to get it off.

Update: Went out and bought speakers and wiring. Finished the job in 25 minutes. Just put in the rear speakers because the wiring to the front through the door looked tricky. I did manage to get the door panel off. The back ones still sound good since its a regular cab. Im happy

to do the doors remove the panel and run it through the rubber boot. It is easy to do with a metal wire. Just tie the wire onto the metal wire and fish it through.
