Re: Headlight Switch/Windshield Wipers
You could be having a problem inside your multifunction switch aka the turn signal switch. Your headlight power goes through this switch (so you can turn on or off your brights) there is alot of mechanical contacts inside and can eventually mess it up.
I would sugest swapping out your switch with another one to see if it fixes it. Also I've heard of people taking the switch apart and cleaning it. There is dielectric grease inside to help with the movement of the arm. To tell you the truth I don't know anything about cleaning it. I've taking them apart before but that can get pretty crazy because there are tons of moving parts inside and takes a pretty good memory getting it back the right way.
I've heard you can wipe off the grease and clean the copper contracts with steel wool and some electrical contact cleaner. THen reapply dielectric grease to the contacts.
What year is your truck? It would help if you had a signature .
