wiring off road lights?!!! help

hey so um i got a cple of 55watt kc apollo lights and i want to wire them so they turn on when i turn on my fogs... cld i just attach the pos wire right to the fog pos wire? then ground the blk wire? would that work or do i have to do anything else?
im a retard when it comes to this shit. thx

well needless to say, im sooo f**king pist right now, i could not get the lights working, i dont understand why i cant wire them or what i keep f-ing up.... god dam.. lets just say im nv letting anyone buy me offroad lights again without a full kit again

A full kit just comes with a relay, switch and some wire. I do not think you can wire them into the fog light switch due to load (complete guess...but I think that is what I read somewheres...). Best bet would be getting another fog light switch mounted on your bezel and hooking it up to that.

use both the hot and ground from the fog light but it would be better to use a relay hooked up to the fogs to trigger it and a different power source

heres how to hook them up , use a SPST relay (4 pin) terminal 30 to battery with a 25A fuse , terminal 87 to the new lights , terminal 85 to the fog light power wire , terminal 86 goes to one side of the switch , the other side of the switch is to ground . to have a light indication attach one side of the light to terminal 86 wire , the other side of the light goes to a switched power source . I hope this helps ,

you can get the relays at any automotive store , you are looking for a 30A SPST(single pole single throw) relay. They are about 5 bucks
