Default New headlight issues.

Replaced my stock with one piece projectors.

They have been working awesome and I love them but today I tooke them out to solder all the connections that were just twisted together, now when I put my signals on its flashing fast as if a bulb was burnt out, and all my bulbs are fine.

This was not happeing before I took them out and I left all the wires in the same place/connections.

All my fuses are good as well, any ideas please?

Thanks.

Could you have soldered two wires together by mistake?

Did you put LED's in place in regular bulbs?

Led bulbs require a EP27 Flasher in place of the stock one.

If they r not led then I would guess two wires crossed up

OR, also if not LED's and the wires are fine, then the flasher is just toast.

Flasher is under the dash directly under the steering wheel. Little blue box just unplugs.

Yea I checked everything one last time.

Turns out my reverse light was burnt out, as was my license plate light. But that didnt fix it after I replaced them.

I'm gonna grab a new flasher at work tomorrow and plug it in and see if it fixes it.

----------

My taillights are LED not sure if that would affect it.

Well that's why. The flasher detects a bulb out based on current draw. Those LED's draw nearly zero current so the flasher things the bulb is out. You need to buy a flasher with part# EP27. That flasher will work and ignore the current.

Ok awesome thank you, this has been driving me bloody nuts all afternoon!!!

So EP27 is that way to go? And just out of curiosity what is different about this one? Can I buy it at a dealership? I'll get a discount.

It is an electronic non-load dependent (aka- heavy duty) flasher. Usually it is for towing trailers or construction vehicles. But it is plug-n-play to our flasher. I don't know if a dealer would have it. The thing costs like $5 at any autoparts store.

Its up on the left side of the steering colum, it's a small black box that you have to take the lid off.

Go under your dash with a light and look towards the driver side mirror and you will be able to see it, I can post a picture later today.
