Well that fuse is for: Back-up lamps, Transmission, Passenger air bag deactivation switch, and theBlower motor relay. Any of those things could be faulty. We're not going to be able to magically tell you what is wrong until you start troubleshooting.

I would start by removing the blow motor relay and see if the problem goes away.

In automatic trucks, dash fuse #2 may blow due to a short to ground in a wire to the Transmission Control Switch (AKA the O/D Cancel Switch). It is fairly common for the switch wires to chafe through the insulation and break completely or short to ground when the shift lever is moved into certain positions.

Of course, a short to ground in any of several circuits served by fuse #2 could do the same thing.

If the fuse failure happens as a result of the shifter being moved, then damaged TCS wires are the likely cause. To check the wires, take the plastic trim off of the top of the steering column and look where the 2 wires exit the hollow shifter and make a 90* turn down the column.

so the fuse goes when i shift so that means it is the O/D wire that hase been worn down most likely right
