Default Non-Ranger Electrical Question about Deep Cycle Battery on a tent trailer

Tryin to wire up an AUX power deep cycle 12V battery on our camper trailer and I don't know if I should hook up the black 10 or 12G Black wire with the 14G black wire for the Hot and vise versa with the white which is the ground as stated by the manual for the ground. Previous owner must have cut the harness that was originally equiped for the battery power.

On Coleman's whites are ground (as you can see by the lead going to the ground screw) and blacks are hot.

So I should just do the large white and the large black to the battery?

Both blacks go to positive.

You may need to install a fuse as in the pic.
I have a 2004 Fleetwood/Coleman Utah.

Why are there two hots and two grounds?? As for fuses, you need a fuse on BOTH and they should be rated to maximum capacity of that wire. 20 amp on the 14 gauge and 30 amp on the 12 gauge.
