Default Wiper Issue

Why do my windshield wipers go on and off at their will? When i need them on they work fine, but when they're off, they can wipe randomly on their own.

Help?

Its the multi-function switch. They fail and do that. Easy to replace. I believe it is a dealer item but I'm not 100% sure.

I've heard of this issue before and also read that the multi function switch fixed the problem.

Mine were doing the same thing. Got mine from pick-a-part for $25 and it fixed the problem. I also snuck out a new rubber shifter boot. The point is it's the multi switch. eBay has them for $40-$50 i think
