Default i have many problems

Today, a member on here and myself installed a OHC in my truck. the OHC works fine. Other then the light do not work prob due to a fuse problem.

Now with the bigger problems

as you can see in the above picture. the RMP's are up and the air bag light is on. along with the cruse control light due to being on the freeway at the time on my way home from the meet. BUT my speedo dose NOT work. It stuck at ZERO the whole time. i did not notice it tell i was getting on the freeway to catch up my speed with the other drivers.

First i checked the airbag sensor's under each seat. it did not fix that problem with the airbag light.

I need help with this issuse. I unplugged the battery and put both the neg/positive cables together like a member suggested (something about rebooting the computer) it did not fix the problem either. I also went back behind the bezel and made sure everything was pluged in and connected correctly too.

any other suggections?

I have the GF's GPS that tells me the accurate speed that i am going, But i can't borrow that forever....nor do i want to take it to a shop and pay an arm and leg for them to look and then fix the problems.

thanks for all your help. i hope you all can understand my situation.

did you tap into the gray/black wire on the speed sensor? also with the air bag light, does the light come on at the PAD switch?

I would recheck the wiring to the Gray/Black wire. When you tapped into it you may have "damaged" it enough that you not getting the signal to the speedometer. I would bet that would fix your airbag light too.

I would take the splice out and make sure that you have a clean connection of the wire to its self and see if that fixes the problem. If it does then I would re-splice the wire and make sure you splicing together the right wires.

the problems have been FIXED due to the great friendly help of Mr, Paul (Pbvator) of Shelton Wa. along with Mr, Mykheal (STL) for his input on helping me with the problems.

The problem was when i went into the dash last night i cut the black/grey and tried to use splice(the tube wire connectors) to put it back together. well one side did not have any power (i think that is the word i want to use) when we tested it. then with the great skills of paul he sodered more wire onto the wire that is already there. and put a new butt splice connector on. then i test drove it and the speed and all didnt work.

so we checked the fuses that STL told me to check and it was puse number 26 that was no good/blown. went over to C.R.A.P. got a new one and TA DA it worked....

thanks again to everyone whom added there knowledge and input on my problem. if you need any help i suggect that you ask paul or mykheal. they have alot of knowledge! ! !

Thanks again buys.

Was thinking about this tonight Bryan. Seems you have something shorting out causing the fuse to pop. I would check the OHC Jerry (Jazz921) had issue like that when we installed his. The ground wire was touching the metal roof.
