Default fuse keeps blowing 2001 ranger

i posted on here when i lost my dash lights running lights and parking lights then had found a bad fuse in my engine fuse box i thought everything was back to normal now that same fuse keeps blowing when i turn my lights on like every few seconds its blown what could be causing this fuse to blow ? i changed it 3 times last night trying to get home but blew everytime with in a few seconds after turning lights on

one more thing to add it only blows the dash light fuse when i shift gears when sitting in park fuse doesn't blow

you have a frayed wire somewhere.

For the dash, ive heard that a wire around the gearshift will get frayed and everytime you shift it will ground out

something isnt ground right or a wire is misplaced check wire nuts and slices

looks like you may have a short somewhere in your wiring..more power is getting on that wire than what is needed.. sounds like when the shift solenoid is turned on to shift gears it pops your fuse find that wiring harness and check it out.. or like posted above the ground ribbon cable is sliced somewhere and cant ground out properly
