im having trouble with my radio

ok, this really sux.. I tried putting my cd player in my truck and its not coming on. I used the keys for my old radio and took it out, i bought a wiring harness, hooked all the wires up correctly matching all the colors. plugged it all in and nothing happend. so i unhooked it plugged in my old radio and its not even working. i checked all the fuses and none of them are blown.
