Default Blinker question

The left blinker on my 03 edge just started doing that "fast blink" thing. I heard that happens because something wears out after time, but how do i fix it?

OMG.

It's a burned out lightbulb. Or you put an LED in place of an incandescent bulb without changing the flasher. Or the flasher is toast.

(or maybe you could try synthetic blend blinker fluid?)

It could also be the dikfer...

The turn signal flasher is an electro-mechanical device that looks like a relay in a plastic box below the steering column. If less current flows through it than designed, it will flash faster. That way you know a bulb is out. This will also happen if you put LED's in place of the bulbs.

If you have used LED's, you would want to replace the flasher with an EP-27 style which will not do the fast flash. It's normal use is for trailers, but it will fix the problem with LED's as well.
