i've tried to search but it just says it hasn't found anything... i can't seem to find my temp sensor on my ranger and i was wondering if someone knew around were it was at? any help is appreciated...

as the Haynes book tell's me 2.3L engine the sending unit is located at the rear of the engine monted into the coolant outlet pipe and it says don't get it mixed up with the oil pressure sending unit which is just above the coolant temperature sending unit
in the ranger haynes book it on page3-5 tells how to remove and replace I find some times it good and some time can't find a thing like my passange window would not go down even bought a new moter still no go so than I found this site and all it was durtty conacts somthing new every day

Anyone have a picture of the location.. I still can't seem to find it on my 2001 xlt 2.3L plus on rock auto they have about 10 different sending units... have no clue which is correct.

There's a coolant temp sensor on the heater hose that goes into the thermostat housing. At least there is on my 94 2.3 2wd. The fitting rotted through and made a mess just recently. Could this be what you're looking for?
