Default Installing HIDs

I want to install HIDs on my truck because the lighting sucks. Where is a good kit for a good price?

I got a 99 ranger XL.

eBay seller Autoluminate. I've been running their kits for over 2 years now, a friend of mine has been running theirs for over 3 now.

What kit does the ranger require? Can it run a low and high? I read somewhere that the computer can act like the lights are burned out, so I want to make sure I get the right kit.

if you want hi/lo, you're going to spending quite a big chunk of change if you want it to last... TRUE hi/lo REAL projector is the only way to have quality hi/lo. Single beam is all you need.

Okay, well I'm just looking for something better over stock so 1 beam would be fine. It would be the hi right? Could you link me to a kit of the seller you were talking about on ebay?

i'm just running the 9007 low-beam HID kit on my 06, been running it for over a year, had no propblems, and the light output is amazing... just make sure to re-aim your headlights, or you wi9ll be getting flashed all the time

Mine cost about $100 and haven't had any problems yet...

Wasn't there some kind of modified Lexus headlight thing that could be put into the Ranger?

on ebay there's some sort of 9007 real hi/lo projector hid kit....WowMike2001 on Ranger-Forums has it on his. requires baking the headlamps to seperate the two halves, then the projo fits right into the spot the 9007 bulb used to fit. I've yet to see it in person, and can't wait til I do...If I deem it acceptable, I'm ordering myself the kit. (oh yeah, wowmike is local to me. hehehe).

OP....

Store page: http://stores.shop.ebay.com/AUTOLUMINATE__W0QQ_armrsZ1

Auction I suggest, even though every link is about the same...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/H1-H3...Q5fAccessories

9007 for headlights, 9145 for fogs. This store is about hte only place I've found the H10/9145 bulbs for the foglights. I suggest 4300-6000k for headlights.

Whoa, $20 for a whole kit? I can put the H3 kit in my off-road lights and totally melt the world!

9007 = Headlights
9145 = Fog lights
H3 = Most off-road type lights
