when headlights off right blinker blinks when headlights on right blinkers stay on do

ok heres my problem
when headlights are turned off, left blinkers blink fine...... when headlights are on... left blinkers stay on constant they dont blink at at all front and back i checked bulbs they are workin, i switched the right working blinker bulb to the left and still same things just fuse everything good im lost and i just got the truck and now i cant get a inspections sticker please help thanks

No, not really. So I guess I will just have to guess at what you're trying to say.

If you have a trailer light harness, it is probably corroded and rotted out. The parking light pin is making contact with the left stop/tail/turn pin. Or the same thing is happening in one of the taillight or front parking light sockets.

Of course, that's a guess based on what little i can put together from your post.

here's what i gathered:

with the headlight off, the left blinker works as it normally would, blinking on and off when it's supposed to.

with the headlights on, the left blinker doesn't work, it just stays lit.

he tried changing the bulbs from side to side, and that didn't fix it.

Your title says that the problem is on the right side but the body of the post says it's on the left. Which is it?

Sorry I couldn't pass that one up. On a serious note though a little clarification on the issue would be nice

If you haven't already, try and find yourself a wiring diagram for your truck. It will help a lot in troubleshooting the problem so you can trace and see what wire goes to what component etc etc.

When you post up a question it makes it really simple for those answering your question if we have some information about your ride. The simplest thing is to create a signature and list the specs of your truck. Year, trim, drivetrain, engine, current mods plus anything else you would like to add. This way we are not asking for more information or blindly answering your questions. To create a signature click on User CP in the upper left and on that page, about the 10th option down on the left is the Edit Signature, go there fill out your info and save.

exaclty thank you my truck is 1994 ford ranger 2.3 4cyl 2wd std cab all stock just got it cheap

Pop the hood and check the ground wire bolted to the driver side inner fender right next to the starter relay. Could be broken/loose/corroded.

fixed it i totally fixed all grounds and also took out trailer harness problem solved
