fleet side bed wiring harness
Hey guys,
I just put a 1999 Fleet Side bed on my 2004 Ranger and the 99 bed wiring harness will plug up, but the lights won't work.
The 99 tail lights have 3 lights because there's a amber lens at the top.
Would a 2001-2003 bed wiring harness work because I noticed Ford just started using 2 lights in 2001.

its pinned different and as an extra wire you will have to rewire the bed hardness or use the older one off the other bed simple enough

Thanks for answering my question. I know it's pinned differently, but I just need to know if a 2001-2003 bed harness will work with my 2004 plug. I'm able to find a lot of 2001-2003 Rangers around here, but not able to find many 2004 + Rangers.

What happened to your 04s wiring harness out of your bed, or did you trade it with the bed, if you still have the bed, go rip the harness out of that, its just some hangers i believe, also i believe the taillights stayed the same untill 05 or 06, so i dont see hwy it wouldnt work, but just compare the harnesses and the pin setups.

The guy I bought the truck kept the step-side bed that was on there and he came down $600 on the price.
But I got a tail light wiring harness from a 2005 Ranger. (hopefully Ford didn't change it in 05)
