Yeah, I'd be digging out the meter from here, but that's me.

It really sounds like you have a short to ground, and it's pulling enough amperage obviously to blow your fuse. If it were something more consistent, like it only blows up when you are touching the brakes, I could narrow it more, but there is something more there to it.

My point from before.... METER WHAT???

There multiple circuits powered by that fuse and the problem is intermittent. The meter is not going to tell him anything we don't already know... something is shorting one of the circuits.

If I were to make an educated guess, I would start poking around every sensor and switch on all those circuits looking for a crappy connection.

With the meter I can watch amperage draw through various things. Turn signals on, turns off, brake lights on, running lights etc. You keep playing with it till you burn something out. If I narrow down a circuit that isn't pulling enough amperage to blow the fuse I can limit my search down. Does that make more sense to you? If the fuse is blown you can also start checking the resistance readings, this can also help you narrow it down.

this means i dont have turn signals either

if anyone thinks i SHOULD take apart my blinker mod ...i will do so...even though i dont think thats the issue since its been working for more than 3 weeks

----------

ill have to get a meter, do i check the fuse area or....? i have no expierence with electrical stuff or a meter

I don't quite know how the blinker mod works, but if you had to tap into your electrical to make that work, that would be the first place I would start

it connects the turn signal to the side marker and makes that light flash too

----------

oh also when the hazard lights are on both lights blink (and alternate as they should headlights on) as they should (since hazards lights only turn on 2 lights instead of 4 and that uses the same connection as the turn signal mod)

----------

thats w.o the fuse in there btw

The hazards are on a different circuit.

Yes, disconnect the blinker mod. See what happens.

I'm referencing a short to ground in that case. Lightening is an arc, a flash of electricity, or a jolt of electricity. It doesn't need to be seen to count as an arc.
