Default HID Slight Issue

I have recently purchase HIDs for both headlights and foglights on my 05 Ranger. The place I got them from was V-LEDS.com which to my understanding is a good company. My issue that I have is fm radio static when I turn my lights on, not unbearable, but its there. I am unsure as to what the problem may be. My layout of everything is that all the ballasts are behind front grille screw mounted on the metal brace bar running across (I didn't use double-sided tape). The foglights are direct plug and play. The headlights on the other hand use a relay. One thing about this relay that I don't like is that it don't have a single central grounding point for relay. It has two grounding points for each bulb I suppose. I am not a electrical guru or anything but I thought if I took the two grounding points and made them into one grounding point and grounded it onto something pre-grounded from factory that it might knock out my issue, what does everyone think about this???

Ive installed plenty of bi-xenon harnesses and relay harnesses for relays (with 2 separate grounds) and never heard of getting static on the radio before. Hmm this makes me want to do some research. I will get back to you if I come up with anything intelligent

The ballasts for my off-road lights does this. But they're also mounted with tape. I'm surprised you're having this problem with the ballasts hard mounted. It is unlikely that rewiring your ground will help. The best ground is the shortest possible piece of wire to the body. Try to isolate it to one or the other by disconnecting them one at a time and we'll go from there.

Is there a power wire (for the relay) run close to the radio power wire, or the antenna wire?

Hmm.. I'm stumped.
Do you get static all the time? Or only when your lights are on?

Its strange, I dont get much static at all when I cut the fog lights on but when I cut the headlights on, it hits the static pretty hard at first and kinda dies down a little but doesnt completely disappear. It dies as the headlight HIDs are warming up...

Nothing to troubleshoot until you try this.

Well I did what Matt told me to do. The conclusion came down to this. When only the fogs are on, hardly no static. But when the headlights come on, thats when the static hits. I tried disconnecting one at a time on both sides and both cause the issue. I also purchased 2 more ballasts from VLEDS and same happens. So I decided to take one more hit at it. I dished out more cash and I have a Philips patent kit coming to me and I will give it a try. I bought them from philipshidkits.com. I was going to take the Genuine Philips kit, but I didn't see a 9007 kit. I will give them a shot and I will let you guys know.

Ok, well chances are the ballasts of crappy design. The only thing you can try is physically grounding the ballast casing to the chassis. May or may not help.
