Default accessory socket not working

last night i was using a 12V work light and it stopped working all of a sudden. i know the problem is with the socket because my ipod charger wont work either. i didnt see any blow fuses when i checked. is there a fuse in the dash? any ideas?

There are two fuses for the two sockets. Pull them out and check them. I doubt the socket is broken.

i seen in the manual a fuse for the lighter / obd and that wasnt blown. i didnt see a fuse for the accessory socket in the fuse map i did see an accessory relay in the manual but i cant find it in the fuse box, is that what your referring to? its a 2007 by the way.

Its a separate fuse entitled cigar lighter or something.

is it in the fuse panel inside by the pasenger door? i seen one called cigar lighter but it didnt look blown to me. is the accessory relay something else? im just confused as to why it isnt working but the fuse is still good, well still looks ok. is there a fuse behind the socket in the dash?

No relays. Thats something else. Its just the two fuses. If you swapped the fuse and it still doesn't work, the wire may have come unplugged from the back of the socket.

two fuses eh...both on the inside panel? weird i only seen one ill look in my book again. does that socket just pop right out of the dash? it looks like it does but i didnt wanna pluck it out i was afriad id break something.

Yes. One called for the lighter and data port (#29) and one called "power point" (#34). Both are 20 amp.
