Thumbs down electrical/power issue. need help

Allright, this is gonna sound kinda weird. I'm having some severe electrical issues. I've got a 1997 ranger 4 cylinder. For starters only my passenger side lights work. And that's when they are on bright, when they're on dim they barely work at all. When I use my headlights I can't use my heat or windshield wipers. When I use my heat my wipers barely work and if I turn my lights on, once again my heat stops working and my wiper won't work. What the heck is going on. Can anyone help me?

Default Re: electrical/power issue. need help

The first thing I'd look for is a loose, corroded or broken ground wire under the hood. There are grounds bolted down on both the right and left inner fender aprons (about halfway back on each side). There is a ground bolted on the driver side of the radiator core support near the battery and another on the firewall near the PCM. Typical color codes for ground wires under the hood are solid black, black/yellow and black/white.
