Default Driver Side Pwr Window inop

Hello friends quick question. I was sitting in my 2003 Ranger edge and went to roll up the windows and the driver side just stopped. It was working not 5 minutes before and now nothing. The passenger side works fine but all I hear when I try to roll up the driver side is a clicking sound. I checked the main fuse under the hood to be sure, then I looked under the dash near the steering column and found a small relay box which seems to be the source of the clicking sound. I found one relay that when pulled stops the clicking and, of course, still no roll up. I swapped out one of the relays next to it as they are the same relay and it started clicking again but no roll up. So from there I am at a loss. With every relay I pulled the passenger side still rolls up and down fine. Driver side nothing. Any ideas where I should look next? Possibly a bad switch in the door? Is there another relay I can check to see if it is further upstream? Thanks for any help guys and gals.

Curious if you were able to solve your issue? I have the exact same issue with my '98 Ranger. The driver side stopped working a few days ago and I hear the same clicking noise....the passenger window continues to operate normally. Thinking it was the switch, I bought and replaced the power window switch and still nothing.

Any help is appreciated.

This is gonna sound stupid but do this. Take off your door panel, find your window motor and give it a good whack with a hammer. 9 times out of 10 it fixes the problem. Works on just about every Ford I've ever seen that has the problem.

First you should probably make sure your motor is getting voltage when the switch is pushed.
