Default Turn signal hyperflash

Hey guys, today my driver's side turn signal developed a hyperflash. However, the passenger side is normal. My truck is completely stock with no kind of turn signal or light mods. Could this be a flasher? Why is one side hyperflashing, and the other side not? Thanks guys for any help.

...usually, it means you've got a turn signal bulb out. put your truck in park, turn on the left turn signal, and get out and look -- you should see a blinking front turn signal, a blinking rear turn signal, and a blinking left turn signal indicator on the dash. if one of 'em is dark, that's the problem.

Thanks for the replies guys. I hadn't gotten a chance to check it, but I did just now and my left rear brake/turn bulb is out. Off to the parts store I go.

Then your flasher is probably broken. Or you have LED's instead of normal bulbs.

...or, your computer/GEM is in a funky state.

back when we did the BL on my truck, I had hyperflash (left and right signals, but not hazards) and we tried/checked everything.

four months later, my battery drained low enough to reset the computer (I surmised this, because it had reset the radio and cleared all the presets), and lo and behold, the signals were flashing properly, again.

but, anyway... if only one turn signal is hyperflashing, there's something amiss with one of the bulbs on that side, 99 times out of 100.

yeah... ive checked and checked and rechecked just for the hell of it and no bulbs are out. I dont get the hyperflash when i have a trailer hooked up which leads me to believe i have a bad ground somewhere. Just never really cared enough to hunt it down.. ill just live with it until i get rid of the truck or something.
