$169.99

Dual terminal*** 800 cold cranking Amps (1000 cranking Amps) *** 100 reserve minutes. -> 3 year free replacement <- Red top.

I realize the specs on these batteries are totally different but those are the 3 im considering. Just wondering if any of you had experience or preferences with these 3 batteries and/or brands?.
I always buy batteries at Wal-Mart, if it craps out there is usually a Wal-Mart within 10 miles. Last one was 850 cca and was around $80.00.

Ive got an optima battery and so far its great and looks good too. The interstate that was in my truck when I bought it was leaking BAD.. Optimas are leak proof (can be mounted any direction) and shock proof. As far as I know, most offroad racing teams run optimas.

I dont know how they are in cold weather though. I live in Las Vegas lol.

They look good too if that matters to you.

He has a high output alternator, The (+) side is probably from the alternator, to the power distro box, and to the starter or some other power point. The (-) side is probably to the block and the chassis ground. Very clean wiring upgrades.

I need a replacement battery as my truck wouldn't start this morning.. how do you know which size to get? IE: The general shape of the battery. I am going to go to Costco after work but don't have the battery with me to compare size.. is there a specific size to look for?

Thanks,
-Nigel

Add more details to your signature.

I bought a group 58 fitment code 8 from costco last month for $66 for my truck . If you don't bring the the old battery they charge you $9?

The 58 should be fine for you. Costco is the best place to get a battery. You get your membership fee back with that one purchase.

The first one is fine. Man the first battery to impress me was my wife's stock bmw battery just replaced it last year due to cold weather issues finally. The car is a 2000 0_0 freaking amazing that's about 12 years...

If anybody is looking for a battery...I would visit an Interstate battery dealer. I just bought one myself at lunch...Interstate has always been great and they are carried at a variety of places for the warranty. I get mine at the Firestone dealer.

I went there with the model number the Interstate website said was a match for my Ranger. They didn't have it in stock and didn't have the next level either. He gave me 2 upgrades for the price of the basic battery ($102) I was there to buy. Then a 10% military discount and a $21 core charge. I just got a $149 battery for about $85!

I see the thread is old...just in case people search it I wanted to post the info.

I just bought a Ranger and the battery was loose in the tray - just flopped around. I went to Walmart and got an EverStart Maxx 58-3 with 3 year free replacement warranty for $83. There was another one for $10 less that only had a 2 yr warranty.
