is there an aftermarket bulb that won't peel off the yellow coating besides what came from the factory?

Not sure with these little goofy buggers. I would google the bulb type and include some fancy words to see what you come across. Like PIAA, for example. Let us know what you find.

They appear blue but light up amber color. I have had them for 2 years and no problems

stl,do you have a number for that bulb? both of my bulbs the yellowing peeled off then i wonder why?

Those plug in LED's are crap they don't shine very good IMO

I got mine at autozone not sure the number they are silverstar brand

I run the same one's that STL has in a few of my cars they have a very intense orange to them and they look cool too. The LED bulbs are failure prone, they are not stable enough for voltage fluctuations in common vehicle system and they pop(die), Don't believe look at the expensive ones in Caddy's 2 years old and they are already failing with a stabilizer chip in the circuit. My2cents. SOme don't care about longevity and just want the look so get what you like.
(Sorry originally I was thinking the little side marker lights. I am not used to the signals being in the middle and the running lights being out on the side. . . Not sure why?

Oh yea I think they are Sylvania something or other, think I picked them up at Advanced or Napa.

I have some PIAA ones that look blue when off and white when on...9157 bulb I want to say...just pulling that out of memory...

thanks guys i did the turn signal mod. and noticed that my bulbs were peeling and at night looks like dog crap.

Sylvania Silverstars. Kinda pricey, but they won't peel, and they have a nicer amber color IMHO.

Strange, I've never had any bulbs peel on me when they're installed. I've had a few amber bulbs get chipped up from touching them, but you're not really supposed to be touching thee actual bulb anyway....

I've never heard anything bad about the LED's either....

I have the leds, and I'm not too happy with them. The problem being that they don't "fill" the reflector with light, since the leds shine forward, and not 360* around the bulb. The bulbs I have do have a ring of smaller leds around the backside, but still, what you end up with is one bright spot and the rest dim, as opposed to a full lens.

Yeah, I want the LEDs, but I'm looking into different style bulbs. If I find some I like, I'll let you know.
