I am trying to wire a tach into my 93 and I see 3 wires with orange but no gray wires. Which wire is the correct one?

On top of the fact I am surprised your 93 doesn't have a Tach as mine does. I am curious as to if you're just installing an aftermarket one because the 100-150 [it might be] off RPMs bothered you to do so?

I rarely glance at mine or others over the years and I guess just learned what and where it sounds/feels like it should be for shifting purposes whether being nice or having those testicular moments in time from stop light to stop light..

I find them particularly useless anymore is all. But that above diagram should help a bit more as well as having a DVOM.

I don't have a tach already installed just an aftermarket one I got. I have it wired in the way that link showed but it only works about half the time but I saw this post had the tach wire in a different location so I figured I'd try that. I mostly wanted it because I've been having issues in wet weather with the engine stalling out randomly and wanted to see the rpm reading when that happens.
