Question Wipers stopped suddenly

Hi I have a 90 ranger 158K. Yesterday we had some ice and snow. When I turned the truck on the wipers started to go even though the windshield was not cleaned off totally yet. They moved a bit and stopped. I cleaned away the ice and snow they went 1 full cycle and stopped. After that no go. I know there is a circuit breaker not a fuse. I removed it and reseated it, no good. When I turn on the wipers I hear a relay under the steering column clicking but that's it. Recently a small connecting piece came off under the air intake grill and had to be replaced. It's not that. The wiper motor is not running. Where should I start looking. Could the breaker have burned out? It was in the middle of a storm so I forgot to check continuity on it, I'll do that in the AM, where to after that. Thanks, Dave
