Question tuner?

im thinking of getting a tuner in the next week or 2 cause my tire shop called and im getting my larger tires on at the end of the week and i really dont want to have the speedometer be off for to long. i know you can do the adjustments with a tuner to fix it i just want some opinions. im thinking about getting the DiabloSport Predator U7157 tuner CLICK HERE ive heard good things about it from a few people. does anyone else have a suggestion or review on this tuner? ive called every ford dealer within 30 miles of my house (about 5) and none of them say that they will calibrate my speedometer at all because of some bs about it being illegal or something stupid. if i could i would go that way. but yeah any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. i reall dont want to spend this much money but i really dont want to driving around with an off speedo messing up my odometer. it just really bugs me. thanks in advance.

I believe it is the same one Jeweler54 had on one of his trucks. He always talked highly of it.

If it is like mine you plug it in then tun the truck to run do not actually start it.
Then you load the stuff on. Also be sure to save the factory settings in case you need to return it to stock.

So you just plug it in turn the key till it turns every thing on but the engine and just let it sit there? That sounds easy. Yeah I'd save all the stock stuff for sure. I feel iffy about the whole thing its just sort of scary messing with computers I dont understand. But yeah tires will be on thursday so I'll probably order the diablo sport that I have above later today. What do you have STL if you don't mind me asking?

What size tires are you getting? My speedometer was running a little fast from the factory so when I upgraded to 32s the speedometer became completely accurate.

Im pretty much getting the same setup you have 32/11.5r15. I asked the guy at the dealer about the speedos being off from the factory and he said no they are set right. And I do trust the ford speedos more then I do the gps ones seeing as how one physically measures it and the outre just uses radio waves or satilites or something

Same for me. I wonder if it was due to the fact that 31's where an option on some trucks?

SCT Livewire is very good I would recommend it IF you are willing to spend the cash

I thing the speed from the factory is like Clint said. Some trucks come with 31" tires

Stephen what is your rear axle gear ratio?

4.10 will be fine with 31"

I had 3.55 gears and it was horrible. When I went to 4.10 it was BETTER
