Default MAF sensor resistance readings

I have a 1997 2.3L 4cyl Ranger and I think the MAF sensor might be bad. My question is what kind of Ohms/resistance readings does a healthy MAF sensor put off?

The maf is a transducer. The correct way to understand if it is working correctly is to put a known flow past it and measure the difference between the actual voltage and the expected voltage.

Hey thanks a lot Jp7 I tested the voltage and found out that the MAF is working correctly. Thanks for the info if I hadn't known that I would have wasted a couple hundred bucks on a new one. Keep up the good work!
