Default 97 ranger 4.0 electrical problem

The keypad for my truck will sometimes work and sometimes it wont. the electrical locks on my doors wont work. if you have any ideas about whats wrong with my truck your comments would be greatly appriecated.

Hmmm, short, failure, ford, take your pick.
I would pull the door panel and meter the connection to the locks it is possible they have failed, but typically you'll see them start to limp/hang. As for the passcode panels intermitent tells me you have a poor connection. follow the wires from both ends.
