Default head light projectors

I just bought some sweet headlight projectors, and I got H4 silverstar bulbs for them. my stock headlights on the truck were way brighter than the projectors that I just bought. I don't know too much about projectors but I'm wondering if there are special projector bulbs that I'm supposed to have or what. need help

not the projectors in the truck but same exact ones

Hard to be sure looking at that picture, but those look like they are designed to be used with HID lights..

Hey Boozed, what did you figure out, on the projectors??? I bought some projectors for my '97 and have not been pleased!! Less quality than stock and some changes. There in, and functioning but not to my expectations.

Well you have to buy a HID conversion kit , i have been very low on money so I still havent even gotten that far yet but I'v already found everything I need,

something like this is going to be what we need.

But yeah right now I had to wire my fog lights back up at night to see, I still turn my headlights on to fool the cops but im just waiting for the money haha.

The reason they don't work well is cheap poorly designed junk. Putting an HID lamp in there is just going to make a lot more light not work well. Unfortunately, some products just suck.

Well clearly the ones you bought are based on your own observations. I don't know if they all because I don't buy them all and test them. Projectors designed for the application, especially from the factory, work great. Aftermarket attempts to make it work may have disappointing results.

Well those ones are 8000K and they also have high and low beam. most HID kits don't have that but you can find other ones that fit that are cheaper. This one just fits my wants so thats why i'm kinda leaning toward it.
