Default Mass Airflow Sensor

Alright I was told that i need to clean my mass airflow sensor because I am getting really bad gas mileage. Are there any how-to manuals on this and what should I expect when doing this and what not. Ect. Thanks for the help Guys

Disconnect neg battery cable

Disconnect electrical connector from the MAF

Remove air cleaner outlet tube assembly

Remove MAF sensor retaining bolts lift the MAF sensor out

use electronic parts cleaner or a maf sensor cleaner

DO NOT TOUCH THE MAF SENSOR WITH ANYTHING

& don't get real close with the spray can as to much of a blast can damage them also.

Spray the living daylights out of the wires. Do NOT touch them. ABOSOLUTELY DO NOT TOUCH THEM. Those wires are very small and delicate. If you break one of them....it's a $150 mistake.

I would also recommend NOT to do anything to "help" it dry.

Yeah. That stuff should evaporate relatively quickly. So just let it sit.
