Default 89 Ford Ranger doesn't start

1989 Ford Ranger, 4-cylinder. It just died while I was climbing a hill. Replaced the coil packs, didn't work. I was told that the cable that is running from the 2nd coil pack to the harness is not giving power. The cables near the power steering pump are covered with oil, so the assumption is that a cable had cut short and somehow has gotten to the harness and now I need a whole new harness.

Does anyone had a similar problem? Did you change the harness?
