Default hella spot/flood

So I met a guy from another forum today who had a nice truck but his info was questionable...
He had a 2010 with grill removed for two giabt hella hids. Aparently they were 8 or 10 inch hids. One a fog and one a spot.
He trying to tell me they worth three grand!
Not that I really care but is there such a thing?>
Googled and couldnt find...

ha i seriously doubt that... but in all fairness i dont know... maybe he is rich as all hell and had nothing better to do with his money, but it doesnt sound very plausible.

They're probably Hella Rallye 4000's. They're 9" HID's available in spot, pencil, or flood beams. They retail for $500-$700 EACH depending on where you buy them and what model.

They may very well have been $1500 each when he bought them. The price of HID's has been coming down as HID technology becomes less exclusive. It isn't that far fetched that he paid close to 3 grand at some point in his life. Not now though.

Something like that. I'm pretty sure they're exactly the same as the Rallye 4000, but they were marketed in Australia as the Luminux.

To be honest, his price does seem more likely.
I was told that they were around $3,000, but they were also brought over from Australia. Maybe the prices are way higher down there on shit like that?
