Does anyone know where to find a wiring diagram for the starter or charging system for a 1990 2.3 Ranger? I'm having some trouble with my truck. No power to anything (cab light, dash, clock, starter, everything).

I haven't had time to jump yet, but I have had the problem before. A few months back, when I would try to start it, the starter would just click and then nothing would get power for a few hours, same thing happened again after trying to start it again. We tested the battery and it was holding a full charge, and (after it started running again) it ran off of the alternator alone, so that wasn't the problem either.

I'm going to try to jump it later when I have time, but I'm thinking it may be a short somewhere, which is going to be a bitch to find if thats true.

Anyone else have a similar problem before? Any other suggestions?

autozone.com has wiring diagrams. have to register but no big deal.
